
Brenda is an emerging playwright from the South West, who writes dialogue-led drama with humour and pathos. Her plays tell unheard stories, with a research based lens, and she enjoys experimenting with fun forms like drag!
She is a Bristol Old Vic Open Sessions Writer, and has been shortlisted for Theatre West’s Write On Women, Scotsman’s Mental Health Fringe Award, and longlisted for the Papatango Prize. Her plays have been performed in Bristol, Devon, Cornwall, London and Edinburgh,
She is an advocate for theatre being accessible, inclusive and engaging for all. She has facilitated and assisted on groups for young people and adults with learning disabilities, and is learning about wellbeing and accessibility in the arts industry. She enjoys collaboration and creating community theatre with real voices at its heart.
